On Friday 3 November the 43rd Bristol Scout Group were kindly invited to speak at the Stoke Bishop and Sea Mills Ward Forum Meeting held at Stoke Bishop Village Hall. Scouts started back this week with a night of games and team building to help our 10 new starters to integrate and get to know the older scouts.
Over 100 local residents came together on Saturday afternoon to celebrate the registering of Stoke Lodge Parkland as a Village Green. The 43rd Bristol Scouts had another successful summer camp at Woodhouse Scout Activity Centre last weekend. The weekend started with an investiture, followed by a rainy hike around the local area but the rain soon cleared and the rest of the weekend was dry. The Scouts had a brilliant night exploring the Vaults under the Clifton Suspension Bridge. We explored vaults 4 and 5, saw lots stalactites and stalacmites and learned about the history of the bridge. A great tour and a huge thankyou to our tour guide Pippa who made the night so much fun.
