Hut Demolition & Ground Work

Our old wooden hut was finally demolished with the help of a JCB in March 2025.

Over the following weeks all waste material was removed and the site cleared and levelled. A big thanks to Ingenium Civil Engineering for ensuring this phase went smoothly.

Due to the unstable ground, the slope of the site and with knowledge of a historic pond in existence we chose to install piles.

We required 21 reinforced concrete piles going down to a depth of up to 4.2 metres before hitting rock.

This was followed by the installation of ground beams and the pouring of an immense amount of concrete.

Thank you to Milner Foundations for their help with this phase of the project.

In May 2025 a bricklaying team arrived to complete the below ground block work before the beam and block flooring is laid.
