We are so incredibly grateful to those individuals, local organisations, businesses and grant providers who support our Group. Funds raised to date for our new Scout Community Centre have come from many sources, as listed below. As the build progresses, we are also indebted to various generous in-kind donations and discounts for building materials, windows, flooring, a solar panel installation and many, many more!
Charitable grant providers:
Our major grant providers in particular have helped us reach our target so our build could commence. These have included Avon Scouts, John James Bristol Foundation, Garfield Weston Foundation, Bernard Sunley Foundation, and Bristol City Council Community Infrastructure Levy funding.

43rd Group Events: Our own fundraising efforts are ongoing, and to date include all sorts of activities, events and profile raising:
- Monthly (now on-hold until our new centre opens): Cubbacino café, book & uniform sale, textile recycling collection, jigsaw swap, buy, donate.
- Annual: Christmas tree sale, plant sales, public raffles, supporting the Bristol Half Marathon in 2024 and 2025, Quiz & Curry night, Cubs afternoon tea party, BS9 Arts Trail cafe.
- Events:
- Scouts fundraising badge 2025 included lots of cake sales locally and other events which raised over £1200 towards creature homes required to be installed in, on and at our new facility,
- our "buy-a-brick" campaign continues to help us build, fit out and kit out our new Centre,
- supporting Bristol Open Gardens,
- manure sales, second hand clothes & toys sales, 24 hour bikeathon, barbecue, barn dance, beer festival, bike sale, sleuthing & crime scene evening....and others!
- Individual sponsored events: Bristol Half Marathon, 160km bike ride, 50 mile hike, swimathon, bike rides, sponsored silence, Bristol-Bath marathon.
