This years summer camp was held at Charterhouse Activity centre , a different venue to our usual weekend under canvas, partly driven by our tents and camping equipment been in storage due to our hut re-build!
The venue was fantastic; set in the rural mendip hills surrounded by fields, nature reserves and close to the famour Cheddar Gorge. It was wildlife haven with sightings of rabbits, deer, red kites and even a couple of Adders to add to the excitement of the weekend.
The Scouts enjoyed caving, paddleboarding, hikes, orienteering, camp fires, wide games, fire lighting and water fights whilst generally enjoying the space, freedom and time to be together and have fun!
A huge thankyou to our volunteer Leaders, helpers and parent helpers who all worked together to put on a brilliant weekend for the Scouts!
Lots of badges earned; Lots of food eaten; Lots of sleep now needed!!
Roll on next year!!
