It was an interesting evening and we were able to learn about the workings of the store both on the shop floor and behind the scenes. We discovered that Sainsbury's sell five times as many bananas as any other fruit and that they sell more ham than anything else in the delicatessen area. We were very excited to be able to observe doughnuts baking in the bakery area, then roll them in sugar and eat them. We also went to the refrigeration area and saw where deliveries arrive, but I think the highlight for most of the Beavers was when James, our helpful guide for the evening, distributed packs of Lego cards!
