The sun shone once again allowing our Beavers to enjoy their 2nd annual Beaver camp at the lovely Olveston Scout hut. Both Beaver colonies enjoyed a nature walk through the forest path in Blaise this week and then a play in the playground in the hot weather!
Both Beaver colonies had great fun this week making Fathers day posters, decorating biscuits for Dads ( which the kids ate!) and then did some circus skills outside.
The Beavers visited the RNLI in Portishead this week for a tour of the kit rooms, boat/tractor house and Slipway and were given a water safety talk too.
The beavers spent the evening touring the Bristol floating harbour under fall yard learning how the floating harbour works and what machinery is used to build and maintain the boats in the adjacent yard. Following on from St George’s Day the Beavers were set a teamwork challenge, in their lodges, to make a dragon out of junk.
