We are delighted to announce that the 43rd Bristol Scout Group has been granted full planning permission by Bristol City Council to demolish our existing Scout Hut and replace it with a purpose built Scout Hut.
Charles Elderton, Chair of the Group, commented, "This is such great news for our Group and the local community as a whole. A dedicated group of volunteer parents have come together and worked tirelessly through the pandemic to make sure our application was successful. On behalf of the Group I would like to thank each and every one of them. It was a real team effort. Having previously secured a 35 year lease of our site via the Council's Community Asset Transfer programme we are now one final step away from making our vision a reality. Our focus now turns to raising the final balance of funds needed to start putting spades into the ground."
If you have fundraising and/or marketing skills, run a grant making foundation or simply want to join our team to help secure the last remaining monies, we would be delighted to hear from you. Contact us through our website, www.43rdbristolscouts.org.uk or email chairman@43rdbristolscouts.org.uk
