Following lots of events towards the end of last year, the new scout community centre fund now stands at over £87k, a huge thanks to everyone who has supported all this activity in some way! We have also just been awarded a £1k grant from the Moto in the Community fund (the service station at the old Severn Bridge), as well as the £1.8k from the Co-op last year, so all great news.
For 2018, we plan to carry on with the regular activities (Cubbaccino cafe, Easyfundraising), but take a rest from events - working instead on a project plan for the hut rebuild & various grant applications. Please keep bringing in your 2nd hand clothes, bags, belts & shoes as we will schedule more Textile Recycling pick ups, and please think of us if doing a sponsored activity, if your work supports charitable donations, or you come across a potential grant provider - we have a lot more money to raise to make the new hut happen.
