43rd Bristol Scouts Enjoy their Temporary Home

Since the start of the hut rebuild, the 43rd Bristol Scout section has moved to a temporary home to run its sessions. The combination of good weather and access to a fantastic outdoor area has enabled us to run a full programme, mainly outdoors. This term, this has focussed on First Aid, with our Patrol leaders running bases to teach the younger scouts a variety of first aid measures to handle choking, bleeds, allergies and falls. This culminated with a visit from the CPR in Society group (CPRiS), which is made from student volunteers from the Bristol University Medical School, who come to teach CPR to all of the Scouts!

We have also invested several of our new members and we had a great basketball session, kindly run by one of the Dads!

The rest of the term will continue to be busy, with rock climbing, hikes, cake sales and camp!
