The 43rd Scout Group were invited to provide refreshments for the Garden Open Day in the garden in Druid Stoke Avenue on 27th April. It was a beautiful afternoon and the garden attracted over 140 visitors who were all very pleased to come to our table for tea and cakes. The Scouts and one Cub looked after our customers very well and served them so politely, they were a credit to the 43rd. We had a delicious selection of cakes donated by parents and supporters - some found it very hard to choose which to have. Thank you to the children, their parents who also helped on the day and the bakers - we raised £423.50 towards our new Scout Community Centre. It was so successful, we have been invited back for next year's open day.
