We are extremely excited to announce the opening of our new Scout Community Hall.
It is with immense gratitude to our committed team of Trustees and parent volunteers who started out in 2014 with a bold vision to demolish our old wooden hut and replace it with a modern, fit for purpose and warm community hall. We have now realised that ambition.
Our various Scout, Cub and Beaver Sections very much look forward to starting next term in their new home.
We also look forward to welcoming local community groups and organisation that may wish to hire the Hall.
We will be holding our first Community cafe this Saturday 4th April between 10am and 12.30pm. We hope you can join us.
We are so very grateful to the many businesses, grant funders, community groups and individuals who have made financial donations and/ or offered their time and expertise to enable us to deliver such a magnificent building.
A massive thanks also goes to Don and Mike at Foley Allan, who have expertly project managed the build, along with their fantastic team of workers who always maintained a smile.
Finally, thanks go to all the businesses who supported us during the build by gifting us materials, charging reduced rates and making sure everything worked as it should.
It’s been an amazing community team effort. We look forward to arranging a formal opening later in the year.
This is just the beginning. We still have additional works to complete as funds allow, specifically landscaping the outside area.
