Stoke Bishop Scout Group Grows To Break New Record…

We are delighted to announce that the 43rd Scout Group is now the largest it has ever been in its recent history (or that anyone can remember.......!)

As at January 2017, our Group comprises a total of 89 active and registered children. This is made up of 34 Beavers, 23 Cubs, 30 Scouts and 2 Young Leaders (under 18).
We also have 40 adult registered volunteer Leaders/Helpers. This is made up of 18 Leaders/Assistants, 5 Section Assistants, 13 Occasional Helpers and 4 Group Executive Members.
This does not even take into account all those parents, family & friends and members of our local community that help out and play their part in ensuring our Group is a success.
Andy Judd, our Group Scout Leader, said "We have seen impressive growth in our Group over the past 12-18 months. We were very keen to offer places to children on our waiting list desperate to join. Thanks to all our adult volunteers who came forward to enable us to open a second Beaver Colony in September 2016 and to ensure we can run an exciting and safe programme of activities for our children"
We currently still have 43 children on our waiting list aged between 6 and 11 who unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate. We wish this could be different.
We are very keen to appoint additional Assistant Leaders to support Scout and Cub Leaders. If you are interested to learn more, please email or use our Contact Form
