Cubs Find Their Way to a Navigation Badge…
We completed the Navigation 1 badge tonight with a map based treasure hunt in Stoke Lodge Parkland, a short local hike with a map and then some map drawing back at the hut.

A hot summer’s evening proved ideal for the cub’s Water Warrior’s Sponsored Walk in aid of WaterAid this month. Each cub managed at least 10 laps of their hut carrying water on their heads, though it wasn’t easy. The cubs had a fun night tonight completing part of their Global Issues activity badge before listening to an engaging talk by Sue, from Wessex Water, who discussed how to conserve water around the home by changing some simple behaviours.
The cubs (and adults!!) had a great cub evening last Wednesday, clearing a stretch of the River Trym with our former Assistant Scout Leader James – so well done to all those involved.
43rd Bristol Cubs had great fun last week playing Softball on the Downs.
The cubs had a great evening, learning about campfire safety, how to build and light fires as well as how to cook ‘dampers’ (bread twists) on sticks over the open fires. They are now ready to put their new found skills to the test at Cub Camp!
The cubs enjoyed a beautiful night at Aust, near the old Severn bridge, looking for fossils on the beach under the guidance of our resident geologist, Akela.
