The cubs had a fun evening learning all about Chinese New Year. This included games, craft, stories and snacks. The evening was finished off by one of the Cubs who brought in their own fantastic chinese dragon outfit he had made to show the pack.
The 43rd Bristol Cub pack have had an exciting couple of weeks getting out of the Hut and exploring Bristol. Cubs had a great first night back and welcomed 9 new members moving up from Beavers, taking our pack to a record 26 cubs! They spent the night working on a new cub code of conduct as well as some team building and ice-breaking games.
What a fantastic end of term for the Cubs. An ice skating night out for the cubs and their families. Everyone had a go and there was some good skating seen.
Last night, the Cubs all earned their Scientist badges after performing several experiments though out the evening and the previous weeks session, with a general theme of survival. We completed the Navigation 1 badge tonight with a map based treasure hunt in Stoke Lodge Parkland, a short local hike with a map and then some map drawing back at the hut.
Last weekend the 43rd Cub Scout Sixers and Seconders attended the annual district cub camp at Woodhouse Park. The theme for the weekend was the ‘Circus’.
