A very big thank you for the £2632.85 cheque which we collected this morning from Stoke Bishop Co-op as part of The Big Co-op Payout. Our Scout Group was a nominated local charity as part of the Co-op’s Local Community Fund. We are very grateful.
Our Beaver colonies are looking forward to a book event at the beginning of December. Trustees from the 43rd Bristol Scout Group stepped in at short notice and braved the elements to help put up gazebos for stalls and to help with traffic control at last Saturday’s Winter Fayre in Westbury-on-Trym. We understand the Fayre was a success and raised essential funds to support Bristol’s Homeless.
The 43rd Bristol Scout Group was delighted to receive £50 from local artist, Professor Richard Elderton. Instead of buying his Christmas cards, Richard designed and hand-painted each one. The 43rd Bristol Scout Group’s annual Christmas Tree Sale was held on Saturday 1 December. Gates opened at 8am and despite the heavy rain we welcomed over 200 local residents.
