43rd Scouts go Virtual !
The Scouts had their first virtual meeting on Zoom. It was great to catch up and have a bit of a laugh; we had a good turn out and the technology behaved so the plan is to run them every two weeks.

43rd Bristol Cub Pack had a great turnout for the Cabot District swimming gala with 10 cubs volunteering to represent the group. The cubs spent the evening at the Apple Store this week where they were taught how to program the Apple Sphero robots. In preparation for our tree sale, the Scouts bravely slept in the hut the night before. Much pizza was eaten, they watched a film and some even got some sleep ! A very big thank you for the £2632.85 cheque which we collected this morning from Stoke Bishop Co-op as part of The Big Co-op Payout. Our Scout Group was a nominated local charity as part of the Co-op’s Local Community Fund. We are very grateful.
Beavers quietly enjoying their home made curry and rice after working hard at their quiz beforehand. After eight recent investitures – all in uniform, looking very smart.
The cubs had another active evening playing bonfire games, making chocolate finger fireworks, apple bobbing, firework art as well as investing 7 new cubs and handing out over 80 badges – not sure how they managed to fit it all in, but a huge “Welcome” to the new cubs, a “Congratulations” for all the badges … Read more
